The stand for test of brakes
|
|
- An inspection of brakes on each axis can be carried out at the standard, slowly rotating stand for test of brakes (a move. 6 km/h).
- At the same time the drive has to be from the test bench.
- It is impossible to include transfer and blocking of differential.

The stand for check of power
|
|
- Check of power at the traditional roller stand for two wheels is impossible.
- The roller test bench of power for four wheels has to be used.
|
|
Wheels
|
|
- All four wheels have to pass the identical site of a way for 1 turn (to ideally have also identical depth of a profile).
- Balancing of wheels on the car (dynamic balancing) it is possible only if all four wheels are raised.
- The drive has to be carried out from the car engine (not from the balancing car). Important: switch off the emergency brake.

Winter tires
|
|
- Winter tires are recommended to be used also on the quattro cars. Not so much because of road performance, how many because of brake characteristics.
- Chains of antisliding can be used when it is offered, also on the quattro cars. Here too an argument are brake qualities
- Chains of antisliding and on quattro are put only on forward wheels.

Towage
|
|
- If at towage all four wheels slide on soil, then it is not necessary to observe any special instructions.
- If one of axes cannot slide (after accident), then the car needs to be shipped on the tow truck.
- If there is no such tow truck, then Audi can be towed with the raised axis. Condition: not further, than on 50 km, and not quicker, than 50 km/h. In case of excess of this limit damages of system of transfer because of a lack of lubricant are possible.
